Then I spent nine years leading teams and businesses across Brazil and Australia, building teams from scratch and making the call on who to progress.

For the past 5 years I've been an executive recruiter in energy, infrastructure and commodities markets. That means my working week is spent consulting with hiring managers on what capability they need to hire to grow, shortlisting professionals for strategic appointments, interviewing executives and reading CVs — thousands of them.
